REGISTRATION FOR SPRING SEMESTER:

Our rosters are filling up fast! The fee for one semester is $110. Tuition waivers are available.
NEW registrants only - please fill out a registration form which can be found at: http://music.unm.edu/department_areas/related_programs/prep_school/index.htm.
RETURNING singers do not need to fill out a registration form - mail in your check and call or email to be sure your name is on the list.
FIRST REHEARSAL:
Wednesday, January 25, we will gather in the lobby of Popejoy Hall at 5:00.
For this first rehearsal please park and come in with your child. Metered parking or parking in the Cornell Parking Structure costs $1.75/hour. Do not park in unmetered parking, or you likely will be ticketed.
Information will be provided about a drop off and pick up arrangement for future rehearsals
SCHEDULE:
Our rehearsal schedule is as follows: 5:00-6:15: 1st-4th graders; 5:00-6:30: 5th-8th graders.
We begin Wednesday, January 25 and rehearse every Wednesday except March 14.
Our concert is Saturday, May 5 at 3:00 p.m.

The University of New Mexico Children's Chorus is a non-auditioned chorus serving boys and girls in the Albuquerque metro area. The groups serve students in the following grades:
Grades 1-4 - Primary Chorus & Intermediate Chorus Combined
Grades 5 and beyond - Senior Chorus
Wednesdays
University of New Mexico Center for Performing Arts
Primary Chorus and Intermediate Chorus Combined (Grades 1-4)
5:00 - 6:15 p.m.
Senior Chorus (Grades 5-beyond)
5:00 - 6:30 p.m.

The chorus was founded under the premise that every individual voice, no matter how skilled or strong brings a distinctive perspective to an ensemble. In forming a chorus that is developmentally, artistically, and intellectually appropriate for young singers, we offer the children of Albuquerque an inclusive means of musically expressing his or her voice in an environment that affirms and celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of each child.
The UNM Children's Chorus is housed in the Department of Music of the University of New Mexico and is an affiliated program with the University of New Mexico Music Prep School.
